This one is from an Assistant Professor and biologist from North Carolina, discussing how chromosomal sex differs from biological sex differs from hormonal sex. The SRY gene on the Y chromosome is often whats known to "define" the differences–however this is not always true. There are cases where females do not have this particular gene in their Y chromosome, therefore they are chromosomally male. Cells may not function normally as they do in certain bodies, which disrupts whether they’re genetically, chromosomally, hormonally, or even cellularly male/female. And it gets even more fun when other people with scientific backgrounds join in the fun:

Then another insightful Twitter thread by a veterinarian comes forward disrupting the traditional chromosome model, where this scientist explains there are XY males with ovaries, and XX females with male bodies and functional sperm emerged: https://twitter.com/ScienceVet2/status/1035246030500061184

Turns out bodies respond differently to hormones and brain signals, which can greatly affect how they are developed. There have been case studies where men have given birth, which can be greatly supported by these claims. And then from tthere it gets even more and more complicated–click to find out! Oh, and by the way, BLUF stands for bottom line up front, in case you were wondering where this was going. Kind of like a military equivalent of TLDR (too long didn't read). But we really recommend reading! Just more reasons why a binary way of thinking can-not and do-not suffice!
